That story is crazy.
We get too many NSW2 here in France, you can casually buy it in any supermarket and they even lowered the price of the system by 50€ (420€, or 460€ bundled with MKW or Pokémon Z-A).
It looks like it's widely available in all the west. Sad situation for the Japanese players.

Note que je ne les excuse pas (à vrai dire je ne cherche ni coupable, ni victime, je m'en fous de toutes ces histoires), j'essaie seulement de comprendre leurs actions dans la panique. On s'en prendrait le 1/100e sur la gueule à leur place, on ne ferait sûrement pas bonne figure non plus.

Ils ne peuvent plus absorber tous les reposts et critiques qu'ils se prennent sur la gueule. L'auteur a doublement tendu la perche pour se faire battre, et l'éditeur a foiré sa communication. Je pense qu'ils ont compris. Ils tentent désormais maladroitement (et stérilement) de contenir le torrent.

Carrément pas, il aurait fallu éviter une telle sortie. Mais faut pas être naïf, un éditeur ne peut pas disposer à loisir d'un paiement dû par contrat. Même si le motif (bouquin insuffisant, auteur con) semble le justifier aux yeux du public. Bitmap Books apprend à la dure la communication de crise.

Ensuite ledit auteur s'est mis bêtement à fanfaronner, au grand dam de Bitmap Books, qui se prend désormais un raid dans les réseaux sociaux (enfin, sur Bluesky). Pour ma part, je me passerai de ce bouquin mais je m'abstiendrais de condamner un éditeur impeccable depuis de nombreuses années.

En fait, l'éditeur a déclaré avoir discuté avec l'auteur qui aurait clarifié la situation, s'excusant de ses propos passés, et de ce fait ils ont décidé de lui payer ses royalties (à noter que dans le cas contraire il aurait sans doute pu les attaquer en justice si cet argent lui est dû, pensé-je).

It happened to me with Gran Turismo 4 (double layer DVD, so the lens had to be in perfect shape to load some data, which never happened with mine 😅).

That (software issue) or lenses a bit weaker now ? The game is pretty light, maybe the way it fills the Blu-Ray is problematic ? Or is it a factory issue when pressing the discs ?
That definitely needs some tests done with method by users, ideally with an old lens then a new one on the same system.
