Well, had another unexpected tangent... I reverse engineered Bambu Labs Cloud API so I can keep printers out of local mode while having full API access for MQTT data/commands, file uploads, video streaming, etc.

I don't post much but here is my old VFD badge, I just added a bunch of new effects and functionality! All rendered realtime 😌

Oh blender is awful for "cad" but I used it like that for a long time lol. And yes except the new version of fusion requires a popup window for logging in and authenticating with the app.... Which doesn't work... And you can't trick it to go back to the previous login method anymore 😵‍💫

I tried it, started to like it and then the trial was 180 days. The hobby license makes all files public... If it wasn't 2500$ a year then I would use it 🥲

I have to boot up my windows VM for this 😭 and I completely agree there, there's just limited options and I'm quite picky lol. Or I'll just go back to doing all of my "CAD" in blender lmao

This was done in Fusion. I don't mind it but it has a lot of quirks that I dislike. I used FreeCAD for a couple days but didn't like how many button presses it took to do operations. I want to try it again though because I want something that works on Linux 😞
