I don't post much but here is my old VFD badge, I just added a bunch of new effects and functionality! All rendered realtime 😌

Oh blender is awful for "cad" but I used it like that for a long time lol. And yes except the new version of fusion requires a popup window for logging in and authenticating with the app.... Which doesn't work... And you can't trick it to go back to the previous login method anymore 😵‍💫

I tried it, started to like it and then the trial was 180 days. The hobby license makes all files public... If it wasn't 2500$ a year then I would use it 🥲

I have to boot up my windows VM for this 😭 and I completely agree there, there's just limited options and I'm quite picky lol. Or I'll just go back to doing all of my "CAD" in blender lmao

This was done in Fusion. I don't mind it but it has a lot of quirks that I dislike. I used FreeCAD for a couple days but didn't like how many button presses it took to do operations. I want to try it again though because I want something that works on Linux 😞

Other major changes:
- targeting game engine functionalities
- split materials into materials/params/shaders
- de-coupled files
- UI versions for file converters (FBX, OBJ, GIF, Cameras)
- added platform compile time translation later
- added post processor to improve the effect setup

Currently the first camera is rendering at 192x96px while the usual P3 panels I use are 64x32px. But it's still getting over ~1,000fps while rendering the spiral shader. Code isn't up yet but will be once I clean it up!

New version of ProtoTracer runs on Linux/Windows/Embedded. Made a virtual controller that links over shared memory to a frontend that will eventually be an editor
