Yet not once have I heard Reform talk about this
Not once have I heard them back measures to protect women’s safety
In fact, they voted against them...

There never was a ceasefire.

Great to see more and more people hopping on board the parkrun train, a true force for good.
Ha ha, that final descent is legendary, essentially it’s a fell race descent steep and slippery. Well done, tough day for it.

Numbers at my local parkrun were down considerably last Saturday but there were running events happening locally. Bank holidays in April and August are traditionally the busiest. Global participation must be increasing.

24.10.2025 09:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Not strictly true, many would have voted Plaid as so many have become disillusioned by a Labour Government in Westminster ever creeping further right, and an ineffective Labour Government in Wales who have been in power for 25 years.

Not a single Reform MP bothered to turn up.
As they head to the polls tomorrow, voters in Caerphilly should remember how little Reform care about Welsh postindustrial communities.
Hmmm, possibly. Grunge was certainly partly a reaction to the ridiculous pomp of what hair metal had become, at least in attitude and style. When 40 year old blues rock legends started emptying several cans of hairspray into their barnets (David Coverdale anyone?) the end was always in sight.

21.10.2025 17:38 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0A tweet from Alison Cook reads: “The kids are alright.” The attached photo shows a young woman sitting on public transit holding a protest sign. The sign reads: “WHEN CRUELTY BECOMES NORMAL, COMPASSION LOOKS RADICAL,” with the words “CRUELTY” and “COMPASSION” written in red and the rest in black. Sunlight streams through the train windows, showing a brick building and blue sky outside.
They are trying to normalize cruelty and violence. We cannot allow it.

Terrible headline by the BBC. Is it fear of condemning Israel or sympathy towards their violent aims that’s behind it though?
She claims it was an unprecedented move to ban away fans from attending a match when there are loads of examples of such measures being taken for safety reasons. Undermining the WM police who have clearly considered carefully considered the situation. Shameful politics.

It's unclear if one set of fans over the other was responsible for their derby being cancelled, but to say that WM Police have absolutely no legitimate cause for concern isn't a hill I'd want to die on.

Lisa Nandy: "He's right to say that it is unprecedented in recent times that an entire group of away supporters have been entirely banned from a game"
Unprecedented in recent times? In 2023 Legia Warsaw fans were banned from a game at Villa Park.
Indeed, a nasty politician. Her comments resonated with supporters of Welsh independence too, demonising the Catalan people, who whilst peacefully campaigning for independence, were brutally assaulted by the authorities. No surprise that she’s still twisting the truth to serve her own narrative.
