Wisconsin really politicized me, to be honest. In MA, Republicans were just guys that wants to press the breaks on the spending and lower taxes. In Wisconsin, republicanism is a full ideological movement aimed at destroying the city of Milwaukee and cornerstone institutions like the UW system.

Mainstream pundits repeatedly scolded Dems, telling their viewers and readers that the polling would turn and Dems would get blamed. Didn't happen. The pundits are living in an alternate reality mediated by Twitter and have lost touch with reality.

Twitter always made us overvalue the things we saw on it, the main difference is that it used to have like 350 million daily active users and now it's mostly bots and addicts. The smaller that pool gets, the more insane the output becomes but to major users it still *feels* just as important
