Even without the US being the US they screwed themselves in China and are following the low slow path to decline in Europe.

The US might actually be interesting for them if Trump really is making electric cars unaffordable, then the big German cars start to look more interesting.

I'd be more worried by the level of funding he is giving to what looks very much like a private army.

I do think this bill, with its wealth transfer, $45 billion for ICE and gutting of social services, may well be remembered in retrospect in future days as 'one of the key events that made it official'

I understand that he has just given ICE an annual budget larger than our entire military budget (pre-war) here in the EU.

Not only would you be insane as a foreigner to go to the US, I don't think that anyone who isn't white is safe there going forward.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Another example of abusing the word "terrorist".

A terrorist is someone that uses violence (not chanting or speeching but killing and maiming) to frighten civilians in order to further a political goal.

Those abusing the term for political reasons should be politically tarred and feathered.

My wife, who runs a group of pharmacies here in NL, was in tears this morning too. Because our daughter is terrified of the dentist and failed the specialist kid-dentist we've spent the last 4 weeks going to so will have to have her tooth rot.. and my wife thinks it's her fault (it isn't).
