Today, Israel targeted and killed 5 journalists: correspondents Anas al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqeh and camera operators Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal, and Moamen Aliwa.
A dark day from Gaza made possible thanks to the defeaning silence of govts and outlets that deemed this normal.
The Committee to Protect Journalists is gravely worried about the safety of Al Jazeera Arabic’s Gaza correspondent Anas Al-Sharif, who is being targeted by an Israeli military smear campaign, which he believes is a precursor to his assassination.

Anas Al-Sharif has been posting all night whilst under intense Israeli bombardment.
His final post was just 20 minutes ago. It reads:
“Relentless bombardment…
For two hours, the Israeli aggression has intensified on Gaza City.”
FFS.
He didn't "kick off".
It's not a "jibe".
He said, with dignity and restraint, what we were all thinking - that Al-Obeid didn't just "die" - he, like tens of thousand of other innocent civilians, was killed by Israel as part of its ongoing programme of ethnic cleansing.
