Indeed. It’s both based on bad analysis of history and human nature—ie the idea that extreme wealth is necessary for invention/development—and is horrible morally.

It speaks to the way that Cuban and other moderate-left billionaires STILL believe that they did it on their own. They think taxes are stealing from them. They think that social structures, everyone in society, institutions, and infrastructure had nothing to do with their success. It’s all them.

Absolutely. And in history there are fields where evangelicals often find welcome…but they are often fields such as milhist where there is a significant divide between traditional milhist and war & society milhist.
