Nice to get a few words in edgeways, in this interesting story.

Almost a blink and you miss a new product arrival
Mark Zuckerberg's derogatory comment on "legacy media" while Meta shamelessly gets into bed with the Trump administration is astonishing.
Quality "legacy media" publishers remain critical of international politics and don't necessarily alter course depending on the government like "neo-media"!

The biggest threat to EU stability?
a) Xi
b) Putin
c) Musk
C.
As a free market capitalist whose biggest hate, regulation, is putting the brakes on his companies, Musk is partly dictating the political discourse via X, and is now backing anti-EU parties, similar to his Trump move.

Advisor (Musk): "Get into bed with the AFD"

So it looks like if you're a Tesla driver in Germany, you can now add a vote AFD bumper sticker to the back of your car for the upcoming German elections

12.12.2024 22:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yes at the dealership between Hamburg and Bremen, on the lot every second model which is licensed has a Berlin plate on a regular basis, not just a one-off. Too many to be just demonstrators.
12.12.2024 22:42 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yes please Felix
12.12.2024 22:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Can anyone offer an explanation as to why there are a large amount of Tesla models registered with Berlin registration plates at Tesla dealerships on the other side of the country? OEMs registering models themselves isn't uncommon, but I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Can anyone offer info?
12.12.2024 20:56 — 👍 5 🔁 2 💬 4 📌 0Hi Colin. A really interesting hyperdrive piece today. I would just add a note of caution comparing the Fiat 500e and 500 ICE (price premium). They are in fact two totally different cars with just the nameplate being the most common part.

08.12.2024 13:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Having been upstaged by Tavares in a decade-long spat since former Stellantis CEO jumped ship from Renault, having been refused the brand's top job by then Alliance chief Ghosn, it must have been a party feeling at Renault this w/e as Stellantis reapplied to join ACEA under the stewardship of de Meo
08.12.2024 12:17 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0They wanted to impose a 30 zone in the inner-city under the previous government but told it was a federal case and they couldn't implement it.
06.12.2024 15:30 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The EU's desperation to #derisk from China has caused VDL to double down on the Mercosur/EU free-trade agreement and jump on a plane to Montevideo, perhaps leveraging France's current weakness?! South America could become a rumble in the jungle between European car manufacturers and Chinese OEMs.
06.12.2024 11:12 — 👍 2 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 1Quick piece from me in this week's @economist.com on Britain's electric-car rollout.
Despite (partly-justified) grumbling from the industry about too-harsh government's targets, Britain only is in the middle of the pack in Europe on EV adoption, at best.

It appears former Opel, Continental and Volkswagen China CEO Carl-Thomas Neumann has been dragged into the dieselgate scandal during his tenure at Continental. He currently sits on the board at Polestar and followed his role at Opel in a perhaps calculated move to green mobility start-ups
05.12.2024 08:34 — 👍 3 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0That would have been a lot higher had it not been for the previous German government to veto cities' proposals for 30 zones at a federal basis. Freiburg is a good example.

anyone in the market for a VW Group MEB model and isn't in a rush would surely wait until 2027 once the new @rivianofficial.bsky.social JV digital architecture is rolled out across MEB models.
The sound of a manual kick-down from the engine and exhaust tones, alongside the familiar jolt from downshifting, coupled together with the the roar heading through an alpine tunnel while upshifting would be missed but the overwhelming sound of silence and nature could partially make up for it.

03.12.2024 18:52 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This is an interesting appointment from VDL, especially given the upcoming 2026 report from the Commission regarding the progress of the EU passenger car and van CO2 fleet emission targets going forward.
