Saw the 505 streetcar run a red last night. Looked up when I saw a cyclist shouting and having to turn to get out of the way. We deserve better from our transit operators.

EVERYONE is annoyed by how difficult it is to cancel subscriptions, how the only way to resolve billing issues is to have AI attempt and fail to help you for 20 minutes first, etc.

30.04.2025 10:44 β π 92 π 39 π¬ 2 π 1Thereβs pretty clearly a vehicle arms race going on where people purchase larger and larger vehicles to protect themselves in the event of a crash. The policy prescription is to increase gas taxes to make people choose smaller vehicles - itβs very sad to see us moving in the opposite direction.
31.03.2025 12:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It makes me sad that auto companies have discontinued their subcompact vehicles due to low demand. Lots of people (including myself) donβt need a huge vehicle! Itβs better for the climate and for vulnerable road users if those of us who have to drive donβt drive massive vehicles.

Lots of things you probably care about (healthcare, education, and our court system) are affected by provincial policies. VOTE.

06.02.2025 13:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Government of Canadaβs Border Plan: significant investments to strengthen border security and our immigration system From: Public Safety Canada Backgrounder Canada is investing $1.3 billion to bolster security at the border and strengthen the immigration system, all while keeping Canadians safe. This includes $667.5M for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, $355.4M for the Canada Border Services Agency, $180M over 6 years for the Communications Security Establishment, $77.7M for Health Canada, and $20M over five years for Public Safety Canada.
Canada already announced a $1.3 billion border plan a month and a half ago, so it sounds like the only concession Trump is getting here is someone with the title of βFentanyl Czarβ?
