My firstborn is 20 today. As is our tradition I decorated the kitchen table. Went old school Dino 😄 With Mamdani’s win as well as the incredible news out of CA and the Sherrill and Spanberger wins this is shaping up to be a much better birthday than last year! #mamdani #hopewins

After the heartache of last November, this election year gives some hope.

I was happy when I heard about the gubernatorial races in VA and NJ but I actually started to cry tears of joy when I heard about Mamdani. Even though I’m currently a UT resident NYC will always be in my blood. #NYCborn #IloveNY

No, it was our normal vet. I remember vaguely hearing about Blue Pearl.
I had her vet run some blood tests which was a good chunk of the cost. Glad I did though as it put my mind at ease.

This little butthole’s little butthole cost me $450 today. 😄 We noticed last night that her rear end looked swollen so took her to the vet today. Glad to report she’s feeling much better and getting some rest. Love you, Piper

We had that first year we moved here. It was about 9f-13f for a week. By the time it hit 30 I was like “Damn it’s hot!” 😄

No breaks here, friend 😄 I have a feeling we’re in for a bad winter this year. I could do with a longer autumn though. My favorite season! 🎃

Youngest suggested going to a thrift store today. She didn’t find anything but I scored a vintage grey wool London Towne peacoat in mint condition for $8! Made my day!

Took a day trip to Evanston, Wyoming today. Had some good pizza & some great garlic knots at an adorable little shop called The Bakery. The staff was SO nice AND I met a fellow NYer. They gave us the garlic knots on the house! CDW & Co was another cute shop with fun designs that had us laughing.

Went to a county quarterly meeting yesterday. I live in UT but mostly avoid the bagels provided because I was born & raised in NYC. Something made me grab a sausage, egg, & cheese salt bagel, & I screamed with my mouth full “Where’d you get these? These are NY bagels!” Getting some for the fam soon!

And … I turned it off. Fuck that orange 💩

Fresh baked chocolate chip muffin

Decided to start baking more (and buying less). These chocolate chip muffins came out divine! I tweaked 2 different recipes I found and voilà!

Exactly what I did a little over a month ago. Gave people a heads up and then deleted a week later. Those who requested contact info got it. Everyone else can figure out how to track me down. I deleted all meta accounts and it’s been great.
