The MAGA trolls on Threads are getting very aggressive and following Felon47's example of incorporating personal attacks. I was called "a wrinkled old prune with dementia" by an alleged female MAGAt whose profile pic was indicative of someone who's a hard drinker and heavy smoker. Bish, please.

I lost my dad when I was twenty. I can't begin to imagine losing my mom that young. Also, you're very kind.

Mama died fourteen years ago today. All shades of green were her favorites. She was my best friend, my best teacher, and probably the best human I will ever know. She believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. The eleven years I cared for her were the hardest and most fulfilling of my life.

I had a Chessie who never let me get a photo. This was before smartphones or digital cameras. I wish I had a photo of her as she was beautiful.

It is part of life with PCNs. It's pretty terrifying to think that every eight weeks I have a surgical procedure done on both kidneys. But as long as I'm not on dialysis, I'm a happy camper.

Hydrating as fast as I can to help my kidneys recover from the bilateral PCN exchange yesterday. Woke up 2:15 AM in pain. Pain meds finally kicking in at nearly 4 AM. They had to dig a new channel in my left kidney because the tube was halfway out which explains the pain I had before the exchange.

Well, by some algorithmic miracle, Threads has allowed me to return with full privileges. I'm still pissed off, but my followers seem to be happy and I am happy to be able to keep in touch with my people more easily. I will check in here for news and commentary, of course.

My parents grew up with radio. My mom's dad could whistle operas. Mama knew the lyrics to all the songs the big bands played and Daddy knew all the trombone parts. They met when he conducted the opera orchestra at their college. All four of their kids are musical. It's in our DNA.

I love him.

Catching up on BBC Proms today because my heart needs healing. I'm so grateful I had a dad who loved all kinds of music and who didn't mind if I hung out in his study while he worked and listened to Classical and Jazz and '50s/'60s Folk. Little did I know back then that he had conducted in college.

Yeah. It's on my profile page on IG and on FB. It's an issue. That and I have just over 1/10th followers that I had on Threads. I also miss editing.

hours of peace tomorrow as my roommate is going out for a procedure. I found out yesterday that she's DNR. I am not as yet, but I will be in a year or so. I really don't want to end up like some people who have no idea what's going on and no one who cares about them. I miss my people.

So glad I got bagels when I got water. They will sustain me today. Thanks to Angels I was able to get a real meal yesterday. If I can find my bowl, I'll have soup today. I prefer having one hot meal a day if I can. It's nurturing. Meals are rarely hot in LTC facilities.

Right side flushed and there was a smidge of pain near the end of the second saline syringe which means there was potential blockage trying to happen. Today I must try to drink two liters of water and added cranberry juice and a couple of carbonated drinks.

Same. I find both shows very healing and anytime I can observe people creating I try to. What I miss most about working in theatre and with musicians is the collaboration. Creative people are my kind of folks.
