Gorgon by @forstrangewomen.bsky.social smells like smoldering ruins, carbonized wood, ancient tombstones, and a touch of moss and funeral flowers. 🪦💐🪨🌿

The book is inspired by the nightmarish and misunderstood Medusa, the gorgon from Greek Mythology and quintessence of female body horror. 📖🖤

The return of Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood reminded me of my precious bottle of the original fragrance from 1998.

It also had me thinking about the fragrances conjure a “boudoir”—an old-fashioned bedroom or private area (traditionally belonging to a woman). 🛌🪞🛋️🪶💄✨

Ambrosia was my favorite on paper but Ghost Lover was the best to wear. I hope you get to try them out again!

I like both versions, but the Eau de Toilette is more multifaceted. 🤍

Golden Thread 🍌 features a delightful and realistic note of banana that seamlessly melts into a lush note of ylang ylang. While this isn’t my favorite floral note, Aysha conveyed it in such a graceful and wearable manner. Ambrosia 🍑 is peachy and nectarous, with a floral heart.
