What does this mean for driving a car after #covid?
"Compared to HCs, patients recovering from COVID‐19 presented higher risk attitudes"

For some reason your post is only showing your photo, point 5 and your final comment. Can you repost the rest? Thanks.

Did you know that flight attendants actually have a very rich history of fighting for labour rights? The history of women’s rights and civil rights intersects with the airline industry.

The bike is not a perfect replacement for the car, as it lacks the required range. Likewise, the train lacks the door-to-door convenience. But combine these two modes into a single system, and a seamless mobility option is unlocked—capable of reducing congestion by replacing thousands of car trips.🧵

- 80% of trips were under 10.3 kilometres
- 26% of automobile *driver* trips and 32% of automobile *passenger* trips (almost 460,000 daily trips!) were less than 2.1 kilometres
These are great distances for cycling.

I’m wishing too! I have a friend coming for Labour Day weekend and we’re on the edge of a fire ban at my cottage property. I don’t have electricity yet so count on cooking over the fire. Also, I’m getting tired of hauling water to the gardens but they need it so much!
11.08.2025 23:26 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My Dad used to say he didn’t want one on his street in Barrhaven, even though he complained about the speeding cars on this wide streets had to walk on the road to get to the mailbox, and the grandkids had to cross the street twice to get to a park a block away. Madness!

10.08.2025 13:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I would love to get rid of left turns into oncoming traffic (and pedestrians) and right turns into pedestrians with a walk signal while we’re at it. Germany had a system 40 years ago that made it impossible to interact with another road user unless you were breaking the law. It felt very safe.
10.08.2025 01:07 — 👍 14 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Maybe they would have more time for actual construction if they didn’t spend so much time putting up useless barriers. But they save time by not taking it down and not making or signing alternate routes, so there’s that.

This is a pretty useless piece of cycling infrastructure in Vanier, but the construction signs that have been there for over a week (there is no construction anywhere within several blocks) just adds insult to injury. #ottbike
09.08.2025 15:49 — 👍 6 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0I love that place. Really need to go for another visit. I’m not a cathedral person but I think my little parish church has a Canadian flag. Mind you, it has strong connections with the GG and the GG’s Foot Guards so it may be because of that.

08.08.2025 01:19 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1I would also like to know. I have been told there is a way behind Palmerston and through the shopping centre near the transitway, but I haven’t figured it out. And that still leaves several dodgy blocks. From the west, I use Aviation Parkway from Mtl Rd or Donald to Cunningham, and pray.

There are great jobs in the trades and we have a huge and growing shortage of people to do them, partly because they are perceived as less valuable than a university education.
