A question I have always had is why the heck did the agents allow Trump to stand up for his photo op? Shouldn't they have kept him down and covered and rushed him off the stage? That plus the lack of medical transparency about the ear causes doubt.

I don't think that fact gets enough reporting.

Is there a difference between acute and chronic pandemics? It seems like Covid-19 has entered the chronic phase, where TB, malaria, and HIV have been for much longer.

No, but if they did, they would have to include pilots, maintenance specialists, a hanger and whatever else is needed. But I guess the pres already has all that, as well as a pretty spectacular plane already. But I don't have to worry about emmoliament laws, which the pres should certainly do.

There's a lot to abhor here. But I can't helped wondering about a minor point: what makes a watch worth paying 60k for even if someone somehow has the money to do so?

Not a new follower, but I am a proud Grandma of 2. 2 of my offspring have produced one each. One is a 21 yr old nursing student in ND, one is a 2 yr old in DC. Both are adorable. I am in Oregon so far away. If you live anywhere nearby, I would be happy to feed you 😀

Have you ever read Anne McCaffrey's dragonriders of Pern books? Definitely fiction, entertaining, with characters that you care about, whether human or dragon.

After time spent on the phone with a social security agent today in which she sorted some things for my husband's account, I not only thanked her for her help, but expressed my support for federal employees. In rather vague terms, since I was worried about getting her in trouble for even listening.

I did that recently also. In my case, it was a necesary part of the many things to do after falling victim to a computer scam, so reactive rather than proactive. But that experience has certainly made me aware of the importance of protecting personal info. 1/x

This doesn't sound like productive procrastination to me. As a lifelong procrastinator, I recommend the "I will be able to do it better tomorrow " approach. Just disregard the fact that I am writing this after 3 am, follow my advice and go to
bed.

So what is 18F? Yes, I am too lazy (or just plain tired) to find out myself. Also, yes I went to the IRS website and it appears that the link to Direct File is intact. I will probably just continue to use FreeTax USA and pay a little for state. But I am glad that it is there for others.
