Praying for Gregory, Cherry, John, Mary and Dorrien: Bishops in the Church in Wales. One will be called to be primus inter pares over the next couple of days and become Archbishop of Wales.

Humility, vulnerability, collaboration, and trust are hallmarks of Christian ministry. Andy John had these gifts in abundance. I will miss him as Bishop, and so will the Church in Wales

Going to the farewell service of my bishop this evening. A distinguished ministry, and so sad that it ends in the way it does. I am sure history will judge the ministry of Andrew John very kindly indeed.

I know is that it is a mark of good leadership and humanity to reflect, apologise, repent, and learn. It is also a mark of humility. I make shedloads of errors and mistakes in my role as a vicar. I hope that I learn from them, and I hope when I do people afford me the grace that I need to flourish.

I have served for over a decade in @esgobaethbangor.bsky.social, and all that time +Andy been my bishop. He has been unfailingly kind and pastoral in his dealing with me. I know not very much about what has happened at the cathedral.

Peter, on the day of Pentecost, could have spoken in Greek. Overwhelming majority of those listening would have understood.
