Our last 🇨🇦 Conservative government (2011-2015) tried this in 2014. They gave it the Orwellian title “Fair Elections Act”, & it was spearheaded by then-Minister of “Democratic Institutions” Pierre Poilièvre — now Leader of the Official Opposition.
