I also wanna add. For a movie very centered around identity and "being a real boy" it still completely avoids being about hyper individualism, and I want more of this.

Especially in these times I can't stress enough how absolutely on point this film was for me and how I want to teach my kids about when you should stand up to power and to also challenge the people you live and look up to. It's absolutely perfect. Start to finish.

One of the greatest animated films of the past 50 years. Absolutely the best adaptation of Pinocchio ever. I'll die on that hill. Best part is it completely reframes the moral of Pinocchio. Instead of blind obedience it teaches justice, and going against the grain when it's the right thing to do.
