Fantastic. I'll check your shop (or project page if that's how you're making it avaliable). Gratitude either way πŸ™

For the SMS is this basically an RGB bypass, or is that an oversimplification? Is this something you'll sell in your shop? Thanks!

I've had my kit since the first batches went out but still haven't gotten around to installing it. Your video has me inspired to get on it!

I clipped them for a while with good luck but eventually my luck expired and it was "oh, that's what the naysayers were talking about." Card carrying naysayer now.

I ctrl S like a nervous tick too, sometimes over and over without writing anything while I'm thinking πŸ˜†

The update for the Retro Game Restore xbox shells says "pre-production" but also shipping May/June. Is it really pre-production? Or are they being manufactured currently and really expected to show now-ish? Apologies if I misinterpreted what "pre-production" means here. Thanks!

I'm with you on that. I got a pre-order in just to have it ready for Metroid whenever that is released.

LMFAO 3 months, what a boob. We're never making this stiff here; "assemble" maybe, after a protracted preparation, but the US is never making chips and related components. Peeps better wake up fast.

These never get old, nobody beats restrogamerestore's shells. I'm still hoping his xbox shells see production this year.

Wow Super Metroid is $60, Metroid Prime Remaster was $40

I always wondered if the gscart top plexi could be drilled out and modified with threads to accept your tink scart brace. This is an interesting alternative approach.

Oh that's right, your news from a livestream a little while ago,I remember. Congrats! Looking forward to seeing progress pics.

Thanks! Its structure is 2x4 framing beneath, that's why your post made me think to share. Then face is poplar (getting painted so no need for oak or maple etc), and shelf interiors are Baltic birch plywood. Paint next then consoles! Is your project in your new workshop area?

Nice, I've always enjoyed framing myself. Here's my own project: media wall for flat panel and retro consoles. Plenum space behind the wall for cable routing, space behind toe kick for switches and other tech. 77" Sony oled with space to upgrade. I'm slow though, been a year so far πŸ˜†

Been building a media wall for our retro setup. No CRT over here, but test fit the flat panel today (77" Sony OLED but I built in room to grow). Tink, HDMI switch, ethernet switch, Gscarts, USB hub etc will go behind toe kick. Back plates are magnetic, room for cabling behind installion. Paint soon!

I've been following this project for a long time and can't wait for it to be market ready. This is going to really simplify my setup (and everyone else's)! Fantastic. Any release date projections? Thank you for doing this, I could be more enthused.

Lovely. Over the last few years I've been been switching to lossless digital media on a home server, lots of advantages for me but I will always appreciate physical media. I had about 4000 CDs, 1000 movies... Maybe only 100 LPs but vinyl will always be king for presentation.

I may be old man yelling at clouds but for me I don't need a new analog signal. I like having RGB and HDMI across my consoles, no problem to solve there (options are great though and I get that in this case it obviates an NESRGB install so it's not without its advantages)
