Hi, the old version unfortunately wasn't functioning reliably, and has been replaced with the new one! It might be less intuitive to use, but is a much better and more reliable tool, and allows more advanced searching and sorting of material.

The spelling for the county is indeed quite late (1547-63), but the bishopric is referred to as "la fraunchise del Eveschee de Duresme" in 1303, so significantly earlier! The same spelling is used for the diocese in 1302.
