A mechanical analog computer - UCLA's "Differential Analyzer" from 1948. Technically, not a computer in the modern sense, in that it could not store and retrieve data. However, it could be "programmed" to solve complex mathematical equations by changing the rods and gears.

When my folks retired, they moved out into a house in the country. Occasionally, they'd get a few that would try and move in. My parents would call a local pest control service. But you could always smell when they were trying to "nest"

No, even though I'm next to Lake Travis, I'm on one of the higher points in Travis County

Lake Travis is a big-assed lake, at 65 miles long and holding 1.1 million acre-feet of water. It takes a LOT of water to raise it by 15.28 feet in 24 hours. (the numbers are shown as feet above sea level. An acre-foot is one acre of land filled filled to a depth of one foot of water)
