Thulusdhoo, Maldives. Sunset Golden Hour. Standing in the woods with white sand at my feet and surrounded by banana, coconut, and papaya trees apart from shrubs, bushes, and weeds. Esta fotografía en blanco y negro, con su larga exposición, evoca la dialéctica entre lo efímero y lo eterno. Las rocas escarpadas, firmes y antiguas, representan la permanencia, la existencia inmutable frente al tiempo. Por otro lado, el agua sedosa y las nubes difusas simbolizan el constante flujo del cambio, la impermanencia, un reflejo del panta rhei heraclíteo: todo fluye. El arco natural, puerta de piedra hacia lo desconocido del océano, se convierte en una metáfora del umbral entre el yo interior (la tierra firme, lo conocido) y el vasto universo de la experiencia y el devenir (el mar, lo incierto). El dramático juego de luces y sombras, con el cielo amenazante, acentúa un sentimiento de asombro sublime ante la inmensidad de la naturaleza. La imagen me inspira una profunda meditación sobre la dualidad. La solidez de la tierra y la fluidez del mar y del cielo coexisten en una tensa pero armoniosa quietud. Esta dicotomía resuena con el concepto de unidad de los opuestos en muchas filosofías orientales y occidentales, donde la tensión entre contrarios (ser y no-ser, luz y oscuridad) es la fuerza motriz de la realidad. Intento congelar este instante de movimiento perpetuo, y nos invita a confrontar nuestra propia finitud y la fugacidad de la vida, mientras la propia roca nos susurra la lección de la resiliencia. Es un recordatorio visual de que, aunque nuestras vidas sean breves, formamos parte de un ciclo cósmico inmenso.
