The irony is this event may impact my housing. This grant was the bulk of my funding over the next few years and would help employee others. I was able to pick up some teaching this semester but Fall funding is uncertain.

What is happening now could shut down colleges and universities.

My VA grant was rescinded the day after Trump took office. What was I studying? How to resolve #veteran #eviction, #homelessness, and #health.

So the hiring freeze rescinded my upcoming grant with the VA. Also impacted several other things. So I might be out of a job after my current grant runs out.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this raises unemployment by several points soon. Both thru direct and indirect effects of the freeze.
