A theologian writing on interfaith dialogue, the problem of evil, and literature and pop culture, I’m also a Mets fan, have 5 lovely children (some adults now!), and a decent mid-range jumper and heading prowess near the goal.

After I dropped the younger kids to school today, I sat on a bench and read a chapter of Blood Meridian. A high school friend of my daughter 's was walking to school and said: "I read that book." "For school?" I asked. "No, just on my own." My older son today also quoted Hamlet. What is going on?!

Post-mountain run slumber while I’m reading from a pile of books: What in Me is Dark; The Prelude; Day Zero; Cylons in America; With a Needle in the Heart; The Origins of Totalitarianism; Christianity in Comics….it goes on as my attention span is low, hence the pile of books

I wish I had been able to register for them but really enjoyed them!"--nice story to counter the common low class attendance groans since COVID.

And if The Last of Us is quasi-Road like, it’s a 5th classic connection (game and tv version…genius inspires genius
