Throughout my life I’ve been lucky to survive many life-saving surgeries; including organ transplantations, which means that I can’t profit from new CF medication anymore. I've lived longer than anticipated, but my organs have suffered damage from CF or the side-effects of medication over time. On top of that I now have to deal with transplant rejection, chemo-therapy and various infections. CF usually takes a course like that sooner or later. In the past, my power for fighting through crisis was rooted in the hope to be rewarded by more years of good life-time afterwards. I still have that hope, but in times like this, it has become more difficult for me to stay “valiant”. I already went through so many years of agony, hopelessness, fear, uncertainty and isolation. I’ve lost so much and I’m so tired… But growing up with CF has also forged my character: I’ve always tried to stay positive, set and achieve almost impossible goals, give my life purpose and meaning. Helping others has helped me to carry on and I’m very proud that I was able to do lots of educational, political and charity work for the most part of my life – mostly in support of wild animals. I’d love to continue my life and efforts and I won’t give up yet. If you want to help me, maybe you can just post a nice comment, a sticker or a funny video to put a smile on my face. Raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and calling for help (1/2) I’m not well known in the furry fandom, but I’ve always loved to be a part of it. Sadly, recent events have put me in a very dark place and I feel the need to make this very personal post. I was born with a rare disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). A defective gene affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices, which causes disordered processes in the body and ultimately irreparable damage to the organs. Usually, the lungs and the digestive tract are affected most severely. Although there have been some improvements in treating this disease, it is still incurable and leads to a significantly shortened life-expectancy. In later stages of the disease often only organ transplantations (lungs, liver, kidney) can extend life for a couple of more years. Having to live with CF is a cruel fate that comes with the need to adhere to and endure strict therapy plans (from early childhood on), growing limitations and relinquishment and the devastating awareness of the inexorable progression of the disease and its horrible terminal stage. I’ve been fighting this disease all my life, but now it seems I’m starting to run out of options. I will elaborate on my personal situation in the next part of my post, but I want to use this one first to raise awareness on CF and maybe encourage you to donate – hoping that further research may lead to a cure someday or at least make the lives of other CF patients easier and longer in the future. naja das ist jetzt erstmal Stress pur , eigentlich dürfte ich das Auto nimmer Fahren, muss aber, sonst komm ich nicht zur Arbeit.
Mein Ehemaliger Chef ist so ein Wi**er.
Schenkt mir ein Auto von dem er genau weiß, dass es nicht mehr über den Tüv kommt. Hat es an der Hinterachse schweißen lassen, was verboten ist - die Stelle is nun komplett hin - Auto nicht mehr reparabel.
Ich bin drauf angewiesen...
