Raccoon goes on drunken rampage in Virginia liquor store and passes out on bathroom floor A raccoon broke into a closed Virginia liquor store and drank alcohol from the bottom shelves over the weekend.

The masked burglar broke into the closed Virginia liquor store early on Saturday and hit the bottom shelf. The bandit was something of a nocturnal menace: bottles were smashed and alcohol pooled on the floor.

The suspect acted like an animal because, in fact, he's a raccoon.

In a weird way this answers your question, but maybe it's not a very satisfying one.....

This character is my secondary but like, in another world I could easily see him as my true main I have just as much fun if not a little more with him compared to Kliff

If you're not already playing Anji in +R, maybe you should consider it. Look at all the fun stuff you can do!

Well I somehow beat DQ2 before comms. I'm still live but I'm gonna wrap stuff up and call it. Wow!

GGACR - FAQ Overview Overview for FAQ in GGACR.

And frankly if anyone wants to debate me on this re: +R well I could post results or match analysis but I could also say there's an awesome and helpful leverless guide made by a close friend that wouldn't exist if playing on it was just easier and better period www.dustloop.com/w/GGACR/FAQ/...

(Ok it is also because I played with Skeletal Minion a fucking lot and I got really tired of getting rekka looped in the ABA matchup so I got REALLY good at mid combo Mario Party, but the controller choice helped!!!!)

There's a reason my stagger mash is well above the board and it's not because I'm on leverless, it is in fact because of the opposite (it is far easier to do on a lever very quickly without exhausting your finger/hand)

02.12.2025 21:42 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think the amount it gives, even slight, is also really really variable depending on the game. In +R I'd say there's a ton of tradeoffs just because you can't pre-buffer a lot of stuff which makes the weird motions all the stranger to have to belt out with more precision

02.12.2025 21:42 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In spite of this I do still think like, the basic FG motion layout is far more accommodating to mentally map out on a lever than a leverless, but that's also contrasted by the leap in games willing to experiment without motions and well there's that character limit but I know we both know haha.

02.12.2025 21:38 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yeah I think its largely assisted by just a shift in platform and like.....playerbase stuff. Sticks made way more sense in the 90s and mid 2000s, even early 2010s, but as time went on and arcades sort of faded out, new gen players were very often on keyboard or pad.

Like if you borrow a friend's stick or something to try, sure that can be applicable, but getting one on their own, even the cheaper ones, are just much more expensive and honestly more prone to faults or issues with the parts. It's just costly.

02.12.2025 21:22 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No lie those 3D printed ones on Aliexpress are quite fuckin' good even! One thing I've always said about hitboxes and why I recommend them as an entry point now despite everything I've said is that I think they're cost effective for jumping in to something you don't know you'll love.

02.12.2025 21:22 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Nightmare in Dreamland just feels so slippery, from memory. The NES game is a far tighter experience and like, I'd only really ever go back to the GBA one for the extra Meta Knight mode if I felt so inclined

02.12.2025 21:19 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 4    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Like they didn't have walkspeed like that just because they could. It's like yeah it makes sense if you want to make moving forward feel good when you can't shift to the guard input without some resistance the same way you could on a keyboard or a Dpad. Charge chars are just the easiest example IMO

02.12.2025 21:18 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I mean yeah, but it doesn't really change that this decision was what led and influenced the design of the games right? Like worrying about why is a fun, but completely separate conversation I think

02.12.2025 21:17 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Even if I'm considering that, the suggestion that they were not balancing basic movement and game design on the controller being used isn't really sensible to me. I don't think it's true of almost any game ever made, or honestly any of them period

02.12.2025 21:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The entirity of motion inputs make way more sense on a stick than on a dpad, or a leverless controller. People called it quarter circle for years. There's no way it wasn't deliberate. It's baked into the genre, WHY its baked in is a separate conversation IMO

02.12.2025 21:02 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I think the mere prevalence of SOCD being needed on a software level and having to be enforced by hardware nullifies that argument entirely. I don't think old game designers weren't building around hardware they knew they'd be making their game for, I think that's a little preposterous

02.12.2025 21:01 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In some strange paradoxical way, that's part of the point of the lever I guess. Removing it doesn't really make the game better (or worse), but it does change the result and the meaning of what's happening~

02.12.2025 21:00 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

For a funnier more personal anecdote I think a lot about my choice to play on stick because the stimulation of it is awesome every time I tech in +R and fail to IB one of Testament's nets right after. You can see I don't get counter hit, but sometimes I just don't move my lever back in time.

02.12.2025 20:59 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It is in part a shortcoming of the device, but it's like sports equipment in that front, or anything you'd play a game with I think. It's a limitation that's built around because it's somewhat compelling. Removing it could make things better, or worse. You can't really say until you've tried

02.12.2025 20:58 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Like the fundamental risk of directional holds and how it impacts motion buffering, inputs for movement, etc. was all pretty carefully thought of for the lever, and many of these movement rules still apply to FGs we play now, albeit less rigidly. It's interesting.

02.12.2025 20:57 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I'd only say it's kind of hot because fighting games at their root were built around levered inputs and even as far as many of them have come I think the skeleton of SF2 and its predecessors is still present in many entries into the genre, so it's....hard to say really

02.12.2025 20:56 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Where it's going to become really interesting is if it becomes the absolute dominant device to play games on. I believe it has outpaced sticks at this point and might only be second to pad on access alone, but the possibility is there and it's going to be unique to talk about in the future for sure
