Objectively the only possible correct answer to the question, "can States sue the President for refusing to provide them with mandatory Congressional appropriations?"

No injunction yet, TRO held under advisement to see if Trump admin, y'know, follows the Constitution, because it hasn't so far.

The GOP’s top think tank just defended an open Nazi Reasonable people can disagree about whether Hitler was good, says the Heritage Foundation.

Kevin Roberts' defense of Nick Fuentes is a watershed moment: the right has officially declared open, unabashed Hitlerism to be an acceptable position in their coalition

A Halloween-themed voter reminder graphic. The top section features spiderwebs and a hanging spider with the PFT logo. Large black and red text reads: “The scariest thing this Halloween? Sitting out this election. SHOW UP AND VOTE!” Below, it lists important voting dates:

Nov 4: Last day for County Board of Elections to receive completed mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8 PM).

Nov 4: General Election Day. Polls are open 7 AM–8 PM. If you’re in line by 8 PM, you can still vote.
At the bottom, white text on a blue background says: “Let’s make our voices heard for our schools and communities,” next to an illustration of a hand placing a ballot into a box.

Federal Workers Are Barely Making It Through the Government Shutdown The US government shut down 30 days ago. WIRED spoke with more than a dozen federal workers who have struggled to pay bills, worked side gigs, and relied on free food programs to get by.

Today marks 30 days of the government shutdown and federal workers -- 750,000 were furloughed -- are barely making ends meet.

I’ve seen what Head Start provides: safety, learning, nourishment, and a strong start in life. Our kids’ futures are not bargaining chips. President Trump and Republicans are choosing to keep the government shut down — and families are paying the price. #StandForHeadStart

All of these people are defined by what they are doing right now. Nothing they did before, nothing they say after, nothing they believe privately, wipes away the fact that this, right now, is who they are.

Seems obvious, but some people need a reminder: Elections are intended to be a pain in the ass to those in power. Despite the lip service they give democracy, those in authority are actually very comfortable with you not voting.

Morning everyone. Pennsylvania's budget is 121 days late. Lawmakers are on their third straight day with both chambers in voting session. In person closed door talks between all parties have occurred the last two days. Those leaders are saying nothing publicly. So, we wait.
