Hi @wxpnfm.bsky.social. Just making sure you saw this! It's unacceptable to be playing songs with racial slurs anywhere, much less a majority Black city like #Philadelphia.

Mistakes happen, but at least acknowledge it and promise it won't happen again.

@wxpnfm.bsky.social Earlier today you played a Mott the Hoople song containing a slur for Black people. This is obviously not OK. Will you issue a public apology and pledge to take the song out of future rotation?

From high energy on the picket lines to β€˜demoralized’ at work: How DC 33 members are navigating a post-strike workplace In the days following the first major city worker strike in almost 40 years, seven municipal employees spoke to The Inquirer about the strike and their return to work.

"Philly is a city that loves unifying our anger at somebody or something."

Trump’s Lie about Dead β€œWhite Farmers” Just Got Even More Grotesque That photo he brandished to Cyril Ramaphosa was from the Democratic Republic of Congoβ€”whose refugees the Trump administration is pointedly not welcoming to America.

Unreal: To sustain his lie about a "genocide" of "white farmers" while meeting with the South African president, Trump used a photo of war deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

I looked into this a bit more. It's worse than it first appeared. 1/

US-backed Israeli forces have killed more journalists in Gaza than were killed during the U.S. Civil War, World Wars I & II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the wars in Yugoslavia in the 1990s and 2000s, and the post-9/11 war in Afghanistan, combined. watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/p...

At Pine Prairie, fights still regularly break out. Mentally exhausted detainees have access to razor blades. "If there's a fight here, people can kill each other, because the officers who work here are very few ... There's no structure to keep that many people locked up."

Those detained in Pine Prairie wear the same set of uniforms every day, including underwear. The food is described as being insufficient in quantity and of questionable quality. "Every day I just lose more weight, because the food they give me doesn't sustain me."

The government complains: "In the two months since Inauguration Day, district courts have issued more than 40 injunctions or TROs against the Executive Branch." Maybe the courts just love injunctions that much, or MAYBE THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH IS DOING A BUNCH OF SHIT THAT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED

This is an enforced disappearance by plainclothes officers, with masks, being put into an u marked van, against someone without any know criminal charge, presumably for exercising free speech. A lot of crimes caught on camera here by ghoulish state agents.

Yesterday USCIS began arresting people at their immigration interviews if they were out of status. Before yesterday, USCIS did not call ice unless a person had a removed order already. This is a significant escalation. These are people who are trying to get legal through the legal process.

Boasberg: So when I said, Mr. Ensign, you should inform your clients immediately, however that's accomplished, whether it means turning around a plane, etc., you need to make sure this is complied with immediately. You're telling me, your first argument is that when I said those things, because it wasn't in a minute order, you didn't have to comply. That's your argument? You're telling me that that very clear point, you're saying that you felt that you could disregard it because it wasn't in the written order. That's your first argument?
