in the past, when we saw timelapses it was like 'Cool! they're sharing how they make a thing!' but now a lot of them are used defensively and a bunch of them are still fake anyways. The joy diminishes when we're taught to be hyper vigilant.

I wanted to share my thoughts, not to start shit but to share what I enjoy about timelapses. It's all a series of choices an artist makes based on their resources (themselves, their experiences, etc.) These things give us a glimpse into artists we like! Fake ones only exist to lie and that's awful.

this has already happened and unfortunately a chunk of them turned out to using AI. I think a lot of false accusations happen when people are less familiar with the creation process and thus go with their vibes. Doesnt help that AI gets better at lying. All around not great!
