I just got a rejection on a query I sent out for one of my novels. That, of course, is not remarkable, except for one thing.

I sent the query 902 days ago.

It will be recorded. They just won’t release the full recording.

And then they’ll store the recording in a bathroom at Mar a Lago.

The thing is, MAGA has supported him because he validates their worst impulses and allows them to proudly display their racism and misogyny without fear of reprisals.

This Epstein business doesn't change that, which is why I'm skeptical it will turn any of them.

Sorry, I skimmed this post and at first thought it was something about the White House personal chef.

It’s obviously a dry run for the No Kings protest in 5 days, which I believe is scheduled in all 50 states.

My fear is that if the 2026 and/or 2028 elections don't go his way, he will declare fraud, appoint a committee to "investigate" the "fraud" and will refuse to seat the election winners until the faux-investigation is complete (i.e., indefinitely).

What can we do PROACTIVELY to prevent this?

I voted for the face-eating leopard party, but I didn't think they were going to eat *my* face.

The US Marshals are part of DOJ. Which means in the end they'll only enforce what Pam Bondi wants enforced. And we all know what that means regarding any illegal actions taken by the administration, don't we?

They're already ignoring laws. And us ignoring them (or at least us not paying attention to what they're doing) is exactly what they want.

The Trump admin has been losing lawsuits hand over fist. People seem to be taking comfort in this. But does it matter? If the administration defies all these court orders, how can those orders be enforced?

If the answer is nothing more than "more litigation," we're doomed.
