I gave Richard Widmark some space so I could catch up on horror movies, but it's Noirvember and I'm welcoming him back with open arms.

Don't miss this interview with Rob Renzetti as he discusses the final installment in his spooky trilogy, The Cursed Cloak of the Wretched Wraith, his inspiration for the Horrible Bag series, and the importance of supporting banned books.

TRACY ROYCE: October Thirty-First Tomorrow morning, the spiderwebs will sag. I’ll clasp my trash-grabber, snapping up candy wrappers, empty sugar-shrouds nestled among fallen leaves. But tonight, the wind whistles through the trees…

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50.

California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections.

Make a plan to vote yes on Prop 50.

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Quote from Judy Blume reads "Having the freedom to read and the freedom to choose is one of the best gifts my parents ever gave me." An illustration shows a young girl reading a book on a green bean bag. The cover of the book says "I love to read." Art is by Debbie Ridpath Ohi, based on a character from The Pain and The Great One.

ahh! a small fluffy ghost sits on a hardwood floor staring directly at us. but actually... the longer we take it in, the more cute the ghost becomes. one could even mistake this little guy for a golden retriever puppy wearing a sheet with eye, ear, and mouth holes cut out of it. even though he gave us a fright, we would still pet this ghost puppy.

My goodness. Please don’t send in ghosts. They are very frightening. We only rate dogs. Thank you... 12/10 (IG: theodore.goldenvelt)
