Yep. Road House (1948) is terrific, and Eddie Muller and Kim Morgan's DVD commentary is great as well.

What was amazing about watching these creatures move out of our way was that once they'd cleared the trail, they vanished into the grass. A dog or person venturing off-trail would not have been able to see them until they were on top of them.

We saw several off-leash dogs on the trail this weekend...and two big rattlesnakes. Snakebites can be lethal. Please leash your dogs when hiking, especially now that the weather is warming up in SoCal.
