china also has a good trickle of indie and midsized devs making premium games, but I think they grow *from* the F2P ecosystem, not in spite of it

lots of things you can say about gacha and microtransaction but the fact is that china has regulated that model down to something sustainable enough to support multiple massive global studios. I wish more people would do analysis on that beyond "eww gacha bad"

china has already figured this out with most of their biggest games being F2P that adjusts for whales subsidizing most players but it's kinda scary to think about

Q: What did you like most about the demo? I like the art style and the characters. I would like to explore this world more. Q: What needs improvement? Did you encounter any bugs? Menu and controls are very unpolished (for example, it's hard to jump on ledges, baby jump doesn't feel good, the menu feels unintuitive and it's hard to tell when the settings are properly changed, the default control scheme on controller feels bad, menu transition animation feels amateruish). The camera is also not very good. For example, the way the wall become transparent feels bad (I think this should only happen during combat). In the town, I didn't realise that I opened a door because a roof was on the way; the camera should have moved in a way that makes this easier to see. I died twice in the first dungeon and have to restart all over from the beginning, which feels very annoying as I was still learning the game. I encountered a bug where all the story dialogues are skipped even though I wasn't pressing anything, so I can't experience the story. The sound design is very bad. Some bullet sounds are way too loud. The low-HP music is very distracting and annoying. Q: Requests for the full version or any other comments. This game is very unpolished! I hope you work on it some more before releasing it! I am a big fan of Arc System Works, so I hope this game will be successful, but at its current form I think it doesn't feel good to play! lancelot, percival, and siegfried *were* a group back in the black dragon days as the order's captains, but vane wasn't part of it, only kind of in-and-out (percival didn't even remember him). he will forever miss out on the tie that bind the other 3 together, for better or worse

in any other group he'd be the heart of it but the dragon knights is kind of weird in that they're not really a group, they kinda already went their separate ways, got their own thing going on, even if they acknowledge each other
