-Nintendo IP presence of some sort. My guess is Hyrule Warriors DLC.
-Elden Ring
-Duskbloods
-Metaphor
-Switch 2 upgrades of already released games
God of War: Ragnarok:
While I don't usually like this type of game a too much, they did a lot to make up for that. The gameplay is far above 2018 even in just variety, and the last 3 hours or so are a 10/10 experience.
Persona 4 Golden:
This might be kinda cheating since I had 50 hours in this game before 2026 started but I did finish it in 2026 so I'm counting it. Unfortunately, I like this game quite a bit less than P3R, which is one of my favorite games ever. The pacing is just so much worse. Still really good
Resident Evil HD Remake:
It's clear to see why this game set the foundation for the franchise and still influences the games now. The formula was perfected in the first game. I would argue that purely in how the game balances everything, this is the best RE game
Jujutsu Kaisen/JJK 0:
The anime is still running but watched all 50+ available episodes, the JJK 0 movie and have been keeping up weekly now as The Culling Games arc releases
Code Geass:
This is tied with One Piece as my favorite anime ever. They're too different for me to possibly pick one, however Code Geass is infinitely more rewatchable due to it only being 2 seasons. Probably the best ending in anything I've watched.
Forgot to make one last year and almost did again this year but this will be my thread of games I play, anime/movies/shows I watch, and things I read for 2026

They arenโt in any precise order just grouped by the general amount of stars
I find it hard to believe Nintendo goes another full year early in the their consoleโs lifecycle without Zelda or Mario so I also expect a Zelda release of some sort
The games we currently know of plus Metroid 6, Luigiโs Mansion 4 and a Zelda remake/remaster would be a great year
Honestly, I think it's likely that we'll get Metroid 6 and Luigi's Mansion 4 this year. Later this year, it will have been 5 years since Dread and 7 years since Luigi's Mansion 3 (as well as 4 years since NLG's last game, not counting the assistance for Prime 4).
02.01.2026 02:11 โ ๐ 42 ๐ 7 ๐ฌ 13 ๐ 5News Team, Thank you for the notes and texts. I apologize for not reaching out earlier. I learned on Saturday that Bari Weiss spiked our story, INSIDE CECOT, which was supposed to air tonight. We (Ori and I) asked for a call to discuss her decision. She did not afford us that courtesy/opportunity. Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices. It is factually correct. In my view, pulling it now-after every rigorous internal check has been met is not an editorial decision, it is a political one. We requested responses to questions and/or interviews with DHS, the White House, and the State Department. Government silence is a statement, not a VETO. Their refusal to be interviewed is a tactical maneuver designed to kill the story. If the administration's refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we
have effectively handed them a "kill switch" for any reporting they find inconvenient. If the standard for airing a story becomes "the government must agree to be interviewed," then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state. These men risked their lives to speak with us. We have a moral and professional obligation to the sources who entrusted us with their stories. Abandoning them now is a betrayal of the most basic tenet of journalism: giving voice to the voiceless. CBS spiked the Jeffrey Wigand interview due to legal concerns, nearly destroying the credibility of this broadcast. It took years to recover from that "low point." By pulling this story to shield an administration, we are repeating that history, but for political optics rather than legal ones.
We have been promoting this story on social media for days. Our viewers are expecting it. When it fails to air without a credible explanation, the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship. We are trading 50 years of "Gold Standard" reputation for a single week of political quiet. I care too much about this broadcast to watch it be dismantled without a fight. Sharyn

My take on Larian using Gen AI is that they seem misguided on what Gen AI actually is. They claim itโs alright because they only use it to โexploreโ things but the very existence of GENERATIVE AI is that itโs basically one big amalgamation of plagiarized work from uncredited sources.
