I hate that I am where I am in life. I can’t stand that, at nearly 44, I’m still scraping by like I’m back in my 20’s.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll be angry or sad or not disappointed or feel utter hopelessness.

But for now I’m anxious, grateful for the people who care for me, and I continue.

I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do except struggle and try to survive like always. I’m burnt out. I’m tired. And now I’m more anxious than I’ve ever been in my life.

But what else am I gonna do? What else can I do besides fight? I can’t rest, can’t quit until I’m flat out of options.

All day I’ve felt like I want to be extremely sad or angry, but I just can’t. I’m too tense. Too anxious about the future.

Emotions keep welling up, but they can’t quite make it past the limiter that is my anxiety. And after December, I don’t know if I’ll even have a therapist to talk to.

Genuinely thought this was a Community reference until I got a better look at the dog.

Today is my last day at VIZ Media.

I’ve seen this coming for quite a while, so I’m not surprised. Still, it sucks, because I have no savings to fall back on (just debt).

I appreciate that, and it’s more or less what my therapist says.

I have, for the first time in my life, a sense of self worth that’s internally generated and friends who genuinely care for me. Those two things and a deep sense of spite are enough day-to-day at least.

I’ll be 50 in six years, and have very little in the way of roots. I’m genuinely considering just wandering off and telling no one in my life if things haven’t improved by then.
