That’s a great question. The main cast is not diverse. They are all white cis men. They have progressive ideologies, and the later shows include some female cast members and some members from other ethnicities.

Their two main, finished shows that I’m aware of are Giantslayer and Android and Aliens. I know Giantslayer started off rough, and I think they either edited some jokes out or apologized for them or something.

They do bounce between serious and light heartedness quite a lot.

The Glass Cannon is friends playing various RPGs. They have a different vibe then the McElroy family. The original cast is all based around NYC, and the host can be abrasive. Also, they play by the rules when they understand them and there are character deaths.

My favorite is Brant & Sherri Oddcast. For stuff more similar to what you've listed, I went from The Adventure Zone to The Glass Cannon podcast. Different but similar. A few different shows on their podcast feed. Also Hello from the Magic Tavern is just stupid if you like that.
