I adopted “y’all” years ago to aim for gender inclusivity.

It doesn’t seem to fly as well in Minnesota as it did in Colorado. What are Minnesotans who aim for inclusive language saying instead?

I don’t see even a fraction of the ai slop on here that I see on any other social media site.

Is the platform to thank? The fact it is a little more off the radar? Is my algorithm just a little better here?
Or are y’all just better, smarter people?

I don’t know when my brain will decide it can focus all the way through a book I read with my eyes again, but I just finished my second audiobook of the year, which probably two more books than I consumed in 2024 and 2025 combined, so I am excited about that.

I have to confess:

I cancelled a service for ethical reasons four months ago.

That service has still been working and I am not being charged.

Rather than paying for a new service, I have been buying physical things from the creators I most enjoy on the service I am not paying for.

The only right thing the MCU could have done to move past the Kang era would have been to end the Deadpool/Wolverine movie with an after credit scene with Deadpool exiting the big arena where all the Kangs were covered in blood and saying “well that takes care of that, you’re welcome Kevin.”

I was just lamenting that the other day I said “even if I stop going to Church, I still believe in Jesus enough to keep opposing the Evangelical church.” And the Evangelical who I was trying to make uncomfortable said “good. I know so many people who have been hurt by evangelicals.”

Many many Evangelicals simply are not aware that they are Evangelicals. And that does make a lot of the conversations that need to happen a little harder to have.

Well, I was asked by board president today very seriously in a meeting about Social Media if I thought that we should start using WhatsApp in addition to Facebook and Insta.

I like Bob Dylan quite a lot, but I don’t get why any new folk singer who finds success gets called some version of “our generation’s Dylan.”

Main reason is that most of them are actually trying to be our generation’s Ochs, which might be a harder thing to be.

To be honest, I don’t really know, if there is a super real way that ai could play a role that nothing else could, maybe.

But what is our resistance, or our life, worth if it isn’t as human as it can possibly be?

Me last year: if zoning was better we could have more walkable cities.

Every single time I see a mention or photo of Liam Ramos I want to scream and punch things.

This cannot be. None of this can be.

I think a part of the struggle for me is that my imagination feels fried.
