The thing about US parties? They can't enforce their own boundaries. The Republican party was taken over. People who actually care and are willing to fight can take over the Democratic party. The party apparatus is just a weapon, what matters is who uses it.

Hm, I'm not sure on that. Narrowing products also means pushing production narrower and requiring the supply chain to monofocus to a greater extent, which has it's own problems.

A few years ago, I tried out a PS4 game called "Dreams". This unique software let me make animations and model my caracal girl, Larxi. This was unfinished for a while, and I've decided to finally finish it. Audio is from "Dora and the Lost City of Gold".

When I 14 set down the path to make that film, the first thing that I did 15 was arrange to be introduced to the head of the submersible 16 program at the P.P. Shirshov Institute in Moscow, a guy named 17| Professor I. I did that through a mutual friend 18 of ours, a guy named , who is one of the preeminent underwater cinematographers in the world. And had been on a 20 submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the 21 Russians. And that was organized by a Canadian company that was 22 doing an IMAX film which was released under the title Titanica.

Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

The way I put it is genre is descriptive, not prescriptive. Nothing has to be written inside any lines, and if it happens to fit close to a description you can use it but it’s fine to not fit.

The DC zoo is biiiig. I was planning to do the whole thing, but two and a half hours there was still a good chunk left *and* I hadn't even eaten! (ate after) I think it'd benefit from a non-walking way to get from the lower end to the upper.... my last 25 minutes was just walking to exit ^^;

Did a National Zoo trip a few days ago! Lotsa animals. I went when it was overcast and sliiightly rainy, which both keeps the crowds low (first time I'd ever seen so few people at the pandas) and meant the animals were a bit more active than usual (sunny days = hot, sleepy animals), which is nice!

Yea it’s not even close! Just went there the other day, fantastic food.

Don't get me wrong, still a good experience, but the Ocean Hall is ten out of ten, and fossil hall loses out a bit.

One thing that hurt the dinosaur section is it is also where the benches were (probably to house all the people staring at the skeletons), but it lacked one of the videos that a couple other eras have, and could've used more info-writing stations to give a better overview.

Hit the Smithsonian Natural History for the first time since covid/the fossil hall got redone. It was split into segments by age, and I was kinda surprised to find both post-Dino and pre-Dinosaur got more space, the dinos themselves could've used more. Some very good pre-dino stuff to it's credit

I don't think the writers of that were prose writers first, they got their start in comics
