We need an integrated transport system. Will council-run bus franchises work in rural areas? If not, we need to look at nationalisation.

E-Waste week correction!

On 14th, 16th and 18th October you'll be able to drop off old and unwanted #waste tech at our Climate Hub between 10am and 4pm.

Working in partnership with @stratforddc.bsky.social and Biffa .

The dates for the opening of the Climate Hub at 30 Meer St are actually 14th, 16th and 18th October. The Hub is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and most Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, staffed by volunteers

Books on the give and take stall

The give-and-take stall at the #RepairCafe in the Methodist church hall is a book exchange this month. Drop off your books and/or pick something to read on a wet Autumn evening!

Thanks to Chris and Alistair of The Butterfly Garden for showing us round their recycling facilities. We were very impressed by the huge number of videotapes recycled, and by all the other activities on offer (music, gardening, cooking, acting!)

A repair in progress

Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month, which means is time for the next #RepairCafe in #StratfordUponAvon! Bring your broken things to the Methodist church hall in Old Town between 10am and 2pm to see if our volunteers can fix them for you. Repairs are free, but we welcome donations.

Reminder: Every Friday 5-7pm there is a Community Kitchen event at the Ken Kennett Centre in #StratfordUponAvon. A pay-as-you-feel meal cooked by local chefs with food that would otherwise go to waste. Bring a doggy bag to take some home too!

I find it difficult to work out where the buses stop and which timetable is accurate. Having moved from a place where we used the buses a lot we’ve not used a bus in the 8 months we’ve lived here. It would help if the website was easier. - Carol, Stratford Resident

There’s no bench at the Bishopton Hill stop so I had to SIT ON THE KERB. When I got up, my PoTS (neurological heart condition) kicked in and I felt dizzy & faint. What about pregnant folks, elderly and disabled? We’re a hundred years backwards!!! - Fiona, Stratford Resident
