I'm not going to lie this is the best cover photo for a book on control measures for invasive plants.

There was a significant cross section of people at the anti-fascist rally today. There were ETU flags, Aboriginal flags, trans flags, and alot of women. Had the promotional work been put in, they could have built a much bigger counter protest.

That's true. But the history of anti-fascism shows that we could have been alot bigger if the promotional work were carried out well.

I saw posters for last week's Palestine March all over the city, yet I hardly saw any anti-fascist posters.

The National Socialist Network organised the "March for Australia" against immigration. In every major city there was a counter protest. I hear the Brisbane counter protest was barely promoted, so getting 400 people to turn up was good.

I've long warned my town's gardening sector is dominated by untrained rouseabouts. I've heard it from several customers, and now I've heard it straight from the horses mouth.

God help us honest tradespeople!

The slogan "nobody wants to work anymore," is disingenuine because it lumps concerns of low wages (justifiable complaint in its own right) with refusal to work below legal minimums (including standards of safety, environmental, and even quality). It reveals the arrogance of the capitalist class.

The failure of the LNPs misinformation campaign group "Advance," demonstrates that politics is about more than smoke and mirrors. Australians know what the cost of living crisis means, and we know the LNP is not the Party to tackle it.

While hostility to Trump was part of last night's result here in Australia, there were other factors. Chief among them is the cost of living crisis, which the ALP (being a Social Democratic Party) could relate to. This is unlike America, where the democrats are no more than a bosses party.

So Trump's imposing tarrifs on Australia? Lol whatever! He lowered American Manufacturing standards in his first term. Compare that to advanced economies that subsidise their manufacturing sector, like Japan and Sweden; I know where my confidence lies.

Standard industry practice for removing lawn thatch is horribly destructive.

Its proves pretty definitively that the bosses are a drag on productivity rates, yet their incomes are the fastest growing. Australian Capitalism is not rewarding hard work. It is punishing it.

Untrained rouseabouts (or unskilled labourers) are dragging down the productivity of the economy. Their cowboy antics of doing a job cheap and nasty often means the customer needs to pay a tradesman down the track to fix the problems they cause.

Accept the cheapest price; you pay twice.

As a rule of thumb, its always best to presume floodwaters contain untreated sewage (and worse). Urban Utilities has confirmed the Brisbane flood has seen untreated sewage released from treatment plants.
