For anyone wondering: yes, I AM losing my mind about the random ACNH update announcement.

My halloween plans fell through, so that's the second year in a row where my favourite day if the year is gonna suck. I am really not doing good these days, and that was just another heavy blow to bring me even further down. Yay..

A thought occurred to me today that I haven't been able to let go of.. The homeless catmom I've yet to capture (yes I'm still obsessing over them), was multicoloured.
So was Two-Face, the cat I rescued in January last year that someone claimed to have seen pregnant before that. What if?

In case there were ever any doubts: I am 100% against AI and consider it a fucking blight upon humanity. I genuinely think it's killing art and human creativity, and I have no respect for people that use it. And that's not debatable.

If that pisses people off.. *points at door* Bye.

Day 7: Resident Services is closed for upgrades
Day 8: Isabelle is here, campsite placed
Day 9: waiting on construction
Day 10: Campsite villager, placed 2 extra plots
Day 11-12: Getting villagers moved in + placed Able sisters
Day 13: 3 stars, beibiiii! 🎉

A summary, for those interested:

Day 1: Paid moving fees, placed museum
Day 2: Museum upgrade, placed shop
Day 2 or 3: Bridge & 3 plots placed + finished
Day 3-6: Just waiting on villagers to move in

Starting up my new ACNH island, I decided to see how fast I could speedrun the intro and get to 3 stars.
The verdict?
A total of 13 ingame days spread across 3-4 irl days of casual gaming 🤭👍

I hope so! Apparently homeless cats is a regular issue where I live, so I gotta try and do something!

I also left my leftover straw in the garage. Saw a mouse in there yesterday, and it might like it 🤭

Made some very simple diy shelters using some old storage containers, straw, and some leftover insulation fabric stuffs. Placed one under my balcony and one by the wood shed. Not sure if they'll help, but, figured it wouldn't hurt at least.

And for anyone wondering, this is the valley I live in and have been searching through.
There's a whole ass mountain behind me that didn't get filmed.

Am really bummed about not being able to catch the cat family when they were at my house. I'm afraid that was my only shot, and now it's too late.

I've noticed that stray cat is a bit of an issue where I live tho. I really fucking wish spaying/neutering was mandatory, cause man. This sucks.

We got power back, and I've spent a small hour fumbling through the woods.
I think I might just have to give up... If these kitties live in the woods on the other side of the valley from where I live, there really isn't much I can do 😮‍💨
Just gotta hope and pray the woods protect them.

A major storm hit the area last night - it's still ongoing - and we've been without power all day. Was out a couple of times looking for the cats, but nothing. Some people said they live in the woods on the other side of the valley, which basically makes it impossible to locate them 😮‍💨
I am.. tired.

Don't think she'll fall for the trap again tho, so unsure what to do. Just gonna try and see if I can locate them first and foremost.

I laying awake at night, thinking about this cat family. I can't just abandon them!

Caught the mama cat today, but after some hours of anxiety, the kittens were nowhere to be seen so I had to let her go so she could go to them.
I DID note the general area she ran off to, so tomorrow I'll be cat hunting most of the day. Pretty sure mama cat is homeless, so gotta try and help them.

No sign of them all day, and all I managed to trap so far was the neighbour cat. I'm afraid mama took her babies elsewhere.
I'm feeling really defeated. Did I act too slow? Are they gone?

A person from the animal shelter dropped off the cage last night, so I got up early today to set it all up. No luck so far, but it's only been about 3 hours... i'm so anxious 😩

She's gonna bring the cages tomorrow, so in the meantime I'm gonna try not to freak out and pace back and forth in front of the balcony windows the entire night.

I've been on contact with someone associated with animal rescue that's gonna get hold of cages to try and capture them.

I live in the middle of nowhere! How what where why??

WHY ARE THERE KITTENS UNDER MY BALCONY??

The mystery of "what" got solved when - after a rather lengthy scavenger hunt - I found a red rubber mouse with half of its tail missing (the remaining bit has since been snipped to prevent any future mysteries).
The "who" looks to remain unsolved, however..
