I took this image at sunrise at Poolburn dam in Otago, New Zealand on new years day 2018. Poolburn dam is a landscape photographers wonderland if you strike the right conditions.

I bought this illness with me from New Zealand. The NHS has a bad rep but the equivalent in NZ is much worse. Thanks to the UK NHS I now know what I have and how to manage it.

After about 4 months of being subjected to home detention due to health issues, I was able to put my camera bag on my back and accompany Rosie Fluerty on what we hope will be the start of our spring campaign. This Cormorant allowed me to approach close enough for a pretty descent photo.
