This research with food delivery workers with an irregular status in the Netherlands underscores the paradox of platform-based labour.

The exhibition will launch on the 5th of January 2026 at the University of Utrecht Library from 19:30.

“Home. Delivered.” is based on research findings by @iclaimeu.bsky.social researchers Ilse van Liempt & Minke Hajer from the University of Utrecht, titled ‘Irregular migrants and precarity in the Dutch Food Delivery Sector’.

The work shift revolves around picking up and delivering orders while answering weird phone calls. Throughout the journey the internal monologue of the main character can be heard, commenting on the feelings and thoughts one feels during such a job.

Home. Delivered. by Romanian artist Radu-Mihai Tanasă, commissioned by Centrala.

“Home. Delivered.” is a video work that follows the delivery shift of one unnamed, masked character who is carrying a big boulder from one place to another around Utrecht and its vicinity.

We got a lovely reminder on Facebook for the Wieśniacy folk dance workshop last year, celebrating their 75th anniversary.
