After having two weeks away from work, which was the longest time of my adult life, this whole 5 days in a row of work seems excessive.

How many times in one day can someone say “ I can’t believe this shit is happening?”
Someone is me, and so far I haven’t found the number.

It’s 25 degrees outside with a stiff wind. Our Pyrenees is in the house. The wood stove is cranked up. It’s too hot for her. She got up and went out.

Happened to me towards the end of the major Covid outbreak. No taste or smell. Felt “okay” otherwise. Tested negative 3 times over 10 days. Had to go to those drive up testing places. Docs had no clue. Finally went away after about 5 weeks.

Fell asleep on the couch. Midnight I hear the cat wanting in. Groggily got up let her in. She had a huge Vole in her mouth and ran from me. in the chaos she dropped it somewhere. I saw her run in where my wife was sound asleep. Went in, she had it in her mouth again, ½

We live in the sticks & have a cabin on our property. we we put xtra food in the fridge there. Last night, One of us was taking a ham over & remembered something in the car, set the ham on the hood , got the thing from the car and went back inside.
Our Pyrenees had a nice little snack last night!
