When I read Charlotte’s Web to my students, I’d get teary, sometimes actually have tears running down my cheeks, when I read the ending. What a writer EB White was. I usually read one of his other books, Trumpet of the Swan, instead. That one is special, too.

I wish this wasn’t true. I wish it had turned out that my reasons for not voting for him were wrong. But he’s worse than that.
