Hello! CatFries here. I'm hopping on to announce that Bottle Collection Tapes will officially be going on temporary hiatus for the next month. There are things about the label and how it operates that I think ought to be overhauled. One change will be a greater focus on the quality of physical designs, inspired by the output of labels such as Freshwater Media and Underwater Computing (though in my own opinion that's setting a high bar for myself haha). Another change will be improvements to artist payments, such as paying item-by-item rather than net profit, and simplifying and clarifying the calculations of payment. The month will be spent adjusting and paying everyone accordingly. Additionally, I would love to begin hosting another compilation album, and if I feel ambitious enough perhaps even some kind of URL fest :) Thank you for your support to the artists and label so far. See you all on the other end!
