I voted SNP every election for one reason only Independence. I joined after ref but after years of the party talking about having to get 60%+ win or a โ€œclearโ€ mandate I cancelled and gave my money to I believe. Maybe wrong move but you canโ€™t keep stringing people along with no plan kicking the can.

Theyโ€™re not there because they are getting signals that Independence is not a priority. Being the Gov is taking a lot of their energy and focus especially at the moment with the far right rising but you have to provide a reason for people to vote for you and past hits are not enough.

This is not a good result. People are tired John. They need something to get their engines running again. Positivity. Policy decisions that will affect most people lives. Housing and cost of living are good starts.

Scottish Lib Dem leader placed 'low-level' bets on election Alex Cole-Hamilton said he has bet out the outcome of some seats in the general election.

15 Tories charged with betting over the Election. I remember Viceroy Jack placing bets and Alex Cole Hamilton placing bets. Response meh! *crickets* ๐Ÿ™„

Yet we're made to think Nicola Sturgeon shot Bambi ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

If Labour at Westminster can nationalise British Steel, why not the same for Grangemouth?
If it can fund Londonโ€™s supercomputer, it can reinstate Edinburghโ€™s.
If it green-lights carbon capture in England, the north-east of Scotland must follow.

Scotlandโ€™s people deserve better.

Isn't it odd that Anas Sarwar said that since Grangemouth was owned by a private company there was nothing the Labour govt could do to save the jobs of the workers, but the Labour govt is planning to finance the privately owned Scunthorpe steel plant in order to keep it open & save the jobs.

This is just simple queerphobia. Utterly nasty. And to do this days after Jamie Greene, a gay MSP, left the party? Absolutely proving his point.

The absolute state of Scottish politics right now. Completely and utterly shameful. Physically sickens me.

It's Trump's, ahem, "Liberation Day" in America, when Americans will be liberated from lower prices. He liberated them from human decency, job security, and common sense a few weeks ago

Tell that to Lady Mone and the other corrupt members of the crime syndicate that is the palace of westminster.

They think that in 4 years people will have moved on and they can once again use the we need to keep the Tories/Reform out. And he might be right. Who is to say what is going to happen in 4 years. Too many Lab supporters are quiet and/or willing to shut their ears and eyes.

Of course not. Much easier to deliver a sound bite in order to get noticed when there is no one there to call you out on your lies, your lack of basic empathy, intelligence or principals. He is an opportunistic piece of manure that likes to gloat at people being made destitute.

That tracks. I am more surprised that there are any rebels. These people were not handpicked for the seats because they were independent thinkers. The whole party is rotten to the core.

Too many commentators/media reports still accepting UKG line that cuts to PIP are about helping people back to work. PIP is a recognition of the additional costs of a disability/long term condition. It is NOT related to being in or out of work.

โœ‚๏ธ Scotland's budget has been slashed, once again.

๐ŸŸฅ Cuts made in today's Spring statement at Westminster will have a devastating knock on effect on Scotlandโ€™s budget for 2026.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Decisions about Scotland should be made in Scotland.
