I am at #TalkUX, my first in-person conference since Twitter went terrible... And I'm missing the conference chat that used to happen there!

I only know web developers that would work on big projects alongside designers, rather than people who do personal websites I'm afraid.

I tell them that keeping salaries secret only benefits the bosses and that it's in workers' interests to know what everyone earns, to avoid anyone being taken advantage of. It's an Equalities and workers rights issue. Then I tell them mine and leave it up to them if they share back.

Reasons my 5 year old cried yesterday:
1. I opened the door before he knocked so he didn't get chance to hide around the corner and jump out.
2. I held his glass whilst pouring his milk.
3. I pulled the plug out of the bath while he wasn't looking so he missed watching the whirlpool down the drain.

TBH I don't think there's much difference in terms of scariness, I'd never heard of pneumonic plague before and didn't realise it can start as bubonic till I read the rest of the article! I was just being pedantic
