Woohoo! I've been shortlisted (for the second time!) for a @charitycomms.bsky.social #InspiringCommunicator award alongside my client Wellbeing of Women! Category: Best charity and freelancer collaboration, this time it's for my work on the Period Symptom Checker. Fingers crossed!

I only know web developers that would work on big projects alongside designers, rather than people who do personal websites I'm afraid.

Of course, this was one year after they kettled my Queers Against Cuts group on the official Pride parade for absolutely no reason other than to intimidate activists.
If I wasn't radicalised before, I certainly was after all that nonsense.

...and one of their pieces of "evidence" that I was up to no good was the fact I'd been invited to a Riots Not Diets gig? How weird was that? 🀣

Remembering when Sussex police sent a uniformed officer to my workplace to tell me to stop organising an alternative pride BBQ on the beach (which had already happened a week before, organised by someone else)...

Does anyone have advice for toilet training regression for a 5yr old boy? Started 3 weeks ago and is wetting himself at least once a day now, after a year of rare accidents. He starts school in 2 weeks, but doesn't seem particularly worried about it or anything else.

Pivot to video was such a curse. Now everything’s like obviously you’d rather watch a 40 minute video than read a sentence.

Hey is it bad if google AI search results stop people from leaving google dot com 99% of the time? All our news and information creators can survive just fine with one percent of their previous search traffic right? I’m sure it’s fine. www.404media.co/googles-ai-i...

Banning people from work makes no sense.

Some people who attended this event are still going through the asylum system. They all said that they are ready to work to contribute to the UK economy.

What is the government waiting for? #LiftTheBan

I tell them that keeping salaries secret only benefits the bosses and that it's in workers' interests to know what everyone earns, to avoid anyone being taken advantage of. It's an Equalities and workers rights issue. Then I tell them mine and leave it up to them if they share back.

Reasons my 5 year old cried yesterday:
1. I opened the door before he knocked so he didn't get chance to hide around the corner and jump out.
2. I held his glass whilst pouring his milk.
3. I pulled the plug out of the bath while he wasn't looking so he missed watching the whirlpool down the drain.

TBH I don't think there's much difference in terms of scariness, I'd never heard of pneumonic plague before and didn't realise it can start as bubonic till I read the rest of the article! I was just being pedantic

Today MPs will vote on the amended welfare bill.

MPs who choose to walk through the lobby and support this bill are paving the way for at least 150,000 people to be pulled into poverty.

Here are just 3 reasons why they should oppose this bill from @katieschmuecker.bsky.social πŸ”½

As MPs vote on massive cuts to Universal Credit & PIP today, they should bear in mind:
- This does not have public support
- This is not the change the public voted for
- The public don't believe the only way to meet fiscal challenges is to make disabled people poorer and iller
