this is a bit overkill just for practice, but, eh.

so like. I saw some folks building out character animation rigs in Da Vinci Resolve's Fusion Engine and I've been slightly possessed trying to mess around and see if I can get much out of it. kinda thought Kirby characters would make for good practice cuz they're simple (and I'm biased)

I really wanna play with Merasmus's design more... I think she should dress like someone's grandma, like, wearing a whole lot of mismatched jewellery from several centuries of flea markets and like embroidered shawls n stuff.

the wizard robes are classic, but a bit plain....

Idk who needs to hear this, but talking to blorbo on the plagerism machine is crossing the picket line.

atm I'm just chewing it over, because I do wanna do more with 'em - tbh I don't think the story they came from had all that much direction to begin with.

Mechana was literally based on Robotnik originally, but I'm thinking of making her less 'mad roboticist' and more of just a down-trodden tech guy.

Lucy was an evil CEO at one point, but I'm think a lower management position makes her conflicts more compelling...

talked a lil about this on tumblr, I had them originally be rival antagonists in a story I used to work on, but I think they were more interesting than most of the other characters... so I've been thinking about making 'em less overpowered to explore them a bit more.

oh! I drew some older OCs for the first time in a few years - this is Mechana (or Victoria - though she prefers just 'Vic') and Lucinda.

Wanted to play with their designs a little and change things up a bit, still thinking about 'em.
