The Trump administration wants to employ an ideological litmus test for federal employees, ensuring that they’ll “faithfully serve” his agenda rather than the American people.

DID YOU KNOW: Veterans are included in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It would also limit and reverse upward mobility for Black Americans, who make up almost 20% of the federal workforce—nearly 2x their level of representation in the private sector. This new era of white backlash will only exacerbate its inaccessibility for millions.

This is a fight for our future ✨

The EO would also make DEI a thought crime and fireable offense. Disciplining workers for simply complying with prior administrations raises issues in wrongful termination, retaliation, due process, and First Amendment rights. ➡️

By suspending data collection on socioeconomic welfare across America, this EO would make it harder to discern where unfair treatment may be occurring, rendering it harder—if not impossible—to prevent. ➡️

This EO would damage civil rights across the federal government, increasing the likelihood that workplaces will backslide on their obligations to promote opportunity for all. ➡️

Data collection is an important tool for determining where unfairness may be happening so that it can be remedied. You can’t fix what you can’t see. ➡️

These premises are false. Diversity, equity, and inclusion refers to long-standing and widely-shared values to create fair opportunities, diversify our institutions, and ensure that everyone is included. ➡️

3. Find & terminate all positions that may be related to diversity but go by another name (e.g. “environmental justice”)

This EO is trying to defame diversity, equity & inclusion efforts as “illegal & immoral discrimination,” as well as prohibit collecting data on disparities across the country. ➡️

1. Rescind a Biden administration order ensuring practices like tracking racial representation in federal agencies
2. Demand a list of federal contractors involved in DEI in order to blacklist them from the federal government ➡️
