On one hand, most lit mags being in the US/opposite time zone to me means I tend to wake up to decision emails, on the other hand my sleepy brain spent far too long trying to work out what the 15th month was this morning until I realised it was a US date format >.<

the other story *was* out on submission for close to two and a half years, so that's why my mind hasn't quite realised it's free lol

looking for a place to submit one of my sci-fi stories, and I keep going to myself, oh if it's not suitable for this story, it'll be suitable for one of my other sci-fi stories...but that one has found a home now, I'm free of searching for its place (it'll be out later this year)

although being left handed and not being able to move my left arm far whilst the new wires bed back in is gonna be a nightmare >.<

hmmph, looks like my defib wires are gonna be changed before the end of November, shame they couldn't have decided that when they were in there last year lol the wires are 18 & 16 years old, so definitely at the end of their life (1st defib was 20years ago this coming January)

have come to the conclusion that I'm just gonna have to email the makers of my violin bow hair (it's the synthetic coruss hair) cos I have no clue how to get all this rosin off it >.< I finally got rosin specifically for this hair type and super overdid it and now it plays *awfully*

My favourite thing to do is go and grumpily check my submission spreadsheet cos I feel like a place should've responded by now, only to find it's been out barely two weeks and I just have zero concept of time >.<

I try to give 2-4 weeks after any posted response time cos I know life gets in the way, but usually by the time I've decided to write out the email to query it I magically get a decision email from them

don't mind getting rejections, but could very much do without gmail sticking them in my spam >.<

Yeah, I woke up to a rejection email for it this morning >.< (& it's 5k+ so a nightmare to find places for)

I’ve loved Vampires ever since I read Darren Shan’s books as a child, so I’m very, very excited for my first published Vampire (& some robots!) story ‘Chip off the Ol’ Fang’ in the new issue of Gwyllion! You can get the issue and lots of other amazing stories on their website! ^.^

Ooh my short story featuring vampires and robots will be out a week today ^.^

Still not quite sure how a book in Welsh is 'Australian Fiction' though, but clearly the BorrowBox categorisers had their err reasons?!

Finally managed to get down the library and see what online resources I can access and I am *very* excited by PressReader (so many magazines!) little disappointed with borrowbox, but I'm usually disappointed with the selection in our library anyway

oof glad I double check the links on my website often - two websites didn't work (domain/site change) and the third appears to be permanently gone >.<

Registered for my next uni module ^.^ looking forward to it focusing on a period of time, rather than a specific theme like my current module (some of the links to the theme have been a...stretch)

Happy World Book Day! I've always loved reading and it's very exciting to have had my writing published in such awesome books and magazines! (and many awesome online lit mags too!) ^.^
