What would you use instead of YAML for configuring CI/CD pipelines / workflows?

If we're going to apply road tax to EVs because they don't pay fuel excise, then it's only fair if we also apply pollution tax to non-EVs by increasing fuel excise.

One of the most diabolical Apple UI designs.

This is from the built-in Stocks app. Surely the icon should indicate the action of pressing the button, not the state of something?

Peter Dutton promises $6 billion 12-month halving of petrol and diesel excise Opposition leader Peter Dutton will promise in his Thursday budget reply that a Coalition government would immediately halve the fuel excise on petrol and diesel.

Don't be fooled by the short term "savings". Taxpayers are essentially giving $6 billion to their fossil fuel donors. A waste of money that would be better spent fixing real problems.

Google resorting to dark pattern sales tactics is low. Shame on you, Google. I hope the conversion rate is really low on this and whoever's responsible learns a lesson (hah!).

BetterMouse Comprehensive mouse utility for macOS

In the meantime, I'll stick with my MX Master 3S. The Logitech software beyond the mouse settings is unnecessary crap (AI? really?), so I replaced it with BetterMouse.

Report: Apple designing all new Magic Mouse, fixing charge port placement - 9to5Mac According to the latest edition of Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple is working on a fully redesigned Magic Mouse,...

The location of the charging port doesn't bother me. It's the shape that makes it unusable for long periods of time for me. If Apple indeed makes something like the Logitech MX Master 3S (probably the best mouse? even Tim Cook admitted to using it instead of the Magic Mouse), then I'll switch to it.

Australia’s education system is unbalanced. It disproportionately favours those who are already advantaged. It gives public money and tax concessions to private schools that go to private beneficiaries. πŸ”½

Australia is connected to the world by cables no thicker than a garden hose – and at risk from sharks, accidents and sabotage Last month two Baltic Sea cables were damaged and experts say Australia’s cables are not immune from threats. How worried should we be?

Thankfully Australia has a big defense budget to defend Australia from these threats.
